knocking on your door. Every choice matters, and every wrong turn can be

your last.

Install instructions

## How to install and run

1. Download **THE_KNOCK_windows.zip**.

2. **Extract the whole zip** to a folder (right-click → Extract All). Do not run the game from inside the zip file.

3. Open the extracted folder and double-click **THE_KNOCK.exe**.

No installation is needed. You do not need Python or any other program.

## System requirements

- Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)

- Any modern PC or laptop, no graphics card required

- Speakers or headphones recommended (the game has music and sound effects)

## Controls

- **Mouse**: click the choice buttons

- **Keyboard**: press **1**, **2** or **3** to pick a choice

- **Space / Enter**: skip the text animation

- **F11**: toggle fullscreen

- **M**: mute / unmute sound

## Troubleshooting

**Windows shows "Windows protected your PC" (SmartScreen)?**

This happens with many small indie games that are not digitally signed. Click **More info**, then **Run anyway**.

**The game does not start?**

Make sure you extracted the entire zip and did not move THE_KNOCK.exe out of its folder. It needs the files next to it to run.

**Antivirus blocks or deletes the file?**

This is a false alarm that can happen with games made in Python. You can add the game folder to your antivirus exceptions and extract the zip again.

**No sound?**

Check your system volume and press **M** in the game to make sure sound is not muted.
